Mazco Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering company based in Abingdon. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist looking for a permanent day shift role with a strong hourly rate and excellent work-life balance.
The successful candidate will be confident programming, setting and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls, working on twin spindle, mill/turn and fixed head machines producing high-precision components for a variety of industries.
The Role:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines
- Working with Fanuc controls
- Machining complex precision components to tight tolerances
- Operating twin spindle, mill/turn and fixed head machines
- Editing programs and optimising cycle times
- Conducting first-off and in-process inspection
- Working from engineering drawings
- Maintaining high quality and production standards
Requirements:
- Proven CNC turning experience
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
- Experience with twin spindle and mill/turn machines
- Ability to program online at the machine
- Confident reading technical engineering drawings
- Experience working to tight tolerances
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
