We're Hiring: SEMH Tutor
About the Role

As an SEMH Tutor, you'll be designing and delivering lessons that are just right for each student, helping them bridge gaps in their learning and rebuild their confidence. The aim is to help them re-engage with education at a time when they might need it most. You'll be working with students who may have been out of education for a while, so your role is all about creating structure, offering support, and fostering both their academic and emotional growth during this crucial transition.


Key Details
· Location: Newcastle
· Position: SEMH Tutor
· Start Date: ASAP
· Contract: Part-time (10-15 hours per week)
· Pay: GBP25 - GBP30 per hour
· Hours: Sessions are flexible-1 to 3 hours each


What Youll Need
· Qualifications: QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS, or something similar
· Experience: You should have at least 6 months of experience working in a UK school, especially with students who have complex SEN.
· Desirable: Its a bonus if you have up-to-date Safeguarding training or personal care experience, though its not essential.


Eligibility
To be considered for the role, youll need:
· The right to work in the UK
· An enhanced child barred list DBS (or be willing to apply for one)
· Two professional references from the past two years
