Role Overview

Seeking a proactive Health & Safety Controller to manage and improve health, safety, and wellbeing systems across manufacturing sites. You'll ensure legal compliance, reduce risk, and promote a positive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and UK regulations
  • Develop and implement H&S policies and safe systems of work
  • Conduct and review risk assessments across sites
  • Carry out safety inspections and address hazards
  • Promote a strong safety culture and deliver inductions
  • Investigate incidents and identify root causes
  • Manage PPE, training, and competency requirements
  • Oversee emergency procedures, including fire safety

Requirements

Essential:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Experience in manufacturing/engineering environments
  • Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation
  • Experience with audits, risk assessments, and investigations
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable:

  • NEBOSH Diploma
  • ISO 45001 auditing experience
  • IOSH membership
  • Multi-site experience
